Amethyst Root is a semiprecious stone. It is a purple variety of quartz and owes its violet colour to irradiation. Irradiation are impurities of iron and in some cases other transition metals. This results in complex crystal lattice substitutions. The hardness of the mineral is the same as quartz, thus making it suitable for use in jewellery and other applications.

The shape of an Amethyst Root can be likened to a Natural Amethyst Wand. This fantastic Amethyst Root is large in size, but are easy to grip in the hand for use in crystal healing.
